My goal is to capture you and your baby in a cozy, and timeless way so you can cherish your photos together and forever. 

 

Newborn sessions are held in the comfort of your own home. I will bring all I need to capture cozy, and timeless photos of baby and family, including; blankets, wraps, lights, backdrops, props, and outfit options for baby and even some for mom or big sisters. My goal for these sessions is to capture baby in all its tiny wonder and the connection of the family.

 

For maternity and outdoor sessions, I am always looking for golden hour light, texture, color, and classic/rustic/vintage features that compliment your vibe and style. Sacramento has so many beautiful locations in the surrounding areas, from golden fields with majestic oaks, to rustic barns, lake views, flower gardens, historic buildings, and more. I will help you choose the perfect location and time for your next photo session.

There are many aspects that go into a successful photoshoot...the most important being baby's comfort and safety. I have been been photographing newborns for nearly 6 years and have been trained in safe handling. Next is definitely planning ahead...I will send you detailed instructions on how you can best prepare your baby, home, and family for a smooth and successful photo session.

Who is this for?

I have a variety of newborn session options sure to fit your growing family's needs. 

​

Full Newborn Sessions are designed to maximize the number of baby alone poses to include:

  • 2-3 fabric colors for all the sweet posed and wrapped shots as well as 2-3 prop shots

Add on options to include parent and sibling shots are available. Click below to download the full price list.

Lifestyle Newborn/Family Sessions are designed to showcase the whole family welcoming it's newest addition. These session include mainly family and sibling shots, while only including a few of baby alone.

​

Mini Wrapped Sessions are shorter sessions, designed just for baby, and include1-2 fabric colors, 2 props. Parent or sibling shots may be added on for an additional fee.

What do we need?

Planning and prepping your family and home ahead of time is the best way to ensure a comfortable and productive newborn session.

Where

All of my newborn sessions are held in the comfort of your own home. Typically I will set up in the living room or master bedroom...or wherever the light is best.

Why

Welcoming babies into the family is such a meaningful time, that is oh so fleeting.

Newborns change from squishy, wrinkly little loves into squirmy, wiggly little cuties so fast...practically in the blink of a sleepy parent's eye. That's why photos are going to be essential for remembering those first weeks. 

​

Plus...I'm going to be honest with you...photographing newborns is no walk in the park. You might think that all they do is sleep, but there is so much more to getting those curled up sleepy shots that you may think. Hiring a professional newborn photographer, like me, will allow you to just relax and enjoy the moment. 

When

Newborns are best photographed between 7-17 days old. At that age, they have started to establish their feeding and sleeping patterns, but are still small, squishy and flexible enough to curl up into those womb like positions.

 

All of my newborns sessions begin at 10 a.m...for some reason that seems to be a magical time when new babies are ready to drift off into that deep sleep. 

​

Currently, to allow for my own children's school schedules, I only take newborn sessions on weekends. If a weekday is needed for your session, still reach out, and I'll do my best to accommodate. 

What is included?

​

  • a 1-4 hour session, depending on on which package you choose. *All sessions allow time for feeding and settling baby as needed.

  • an online proofing gallery of images from your session

  • Five hand-edited, high-resolution, digital images for download

​

I have a wide variety of fabric wraps, layers, and backdrops to choose from as well as outfits and props such as baskets, buckets.

We will discuss, prior to your session, any color or theme preferences you have and I will bring all I need to get all the sweetest shots of your newest addition.
